(Jane^6 Eliza, Garret^5, Garret^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes), was b. 30 December 1840, Newtown, Queens, NY. She married first to Townsend D. Pettit (b. 1838, NY; son of Baldwin and Susan Pettit) in 1859. She married second to William A. Morrell in 1865. Henrietta died at the birth of a daughter, Susan, on 26 Jan 1866. She was buried in Lot 186, Sec. K, Mt. Olivet Cem. Baby Susan died 11 August 1866 at age 6 months, 16 days.

Townsend Pettit was a member of the South 3rd St. ME Church and was at communion on Sunday 5 May 1861. He took sick at work on Monday 6 May 1861 and died 10 May 1861. He was buried on Sunday 12 May 1861 in Grave No. 3, Plot 82, Section K of Mt. Olivet Cem., Maspeth, NY. (The cemetery was across the street from the frame house where A. B. Pettit was born. The house was later moved to 57 Perry Avenue, Maspeth, in the rear of its original site.)

Children: (by first marriage to Townsend D. Pettit) Augustus Baldwin Pettit, b. 7 Oct 1860, Maspeth, NY and d. 23 August 1935 in Gadsden, Etowah, Alabama; (by second marriage to William A. Morrell) Susan E. Morrell, b. 26 Jan 1866, NY, and d. 11 Aug 1866 at age 6 months and 16 days.

Augustus Baldwin Pettit became an orphan at 5 years, 3 months and 19 days upon his mother's death and was reared by his grandparents, Baldwin and Susan Pettit. Baldwin was a house carpenter and taught his grandson the trade. About 1880 he married Isabel Lacey, b. 1860, NY (d/o John and Emma Everett Lacey). Isabel d. about 1920, NY. Augustus was bur. in the Owens Family Cemetery, Gadsden, Alabama. Children of Augustus Baldwin Pettit and Isabel Lacey are Isabel Lacey Pettit (b. 1887, NY; d. abt 1965, Bangalore, India where she had worked as a missionary most of her life from 1936 forward); Edgar Augustus Pettit (b. 1892, Baldwin, NY), and Evangeline Pettit (b. 1902, NY).
